Description
Description
The Saro EB 40 is a free-standing commercial ice cube maker for restaurants, bars, hotels and catering operations, producing up to 40–50 kg of hollow-cone (bullet) ice per 24 hours and storing up to 10 kg in the integrated bin. Each bullet measures Ø 28 × H 40 mm — a shape that chills drinks quickly and works well in cocktail service, soft drinks and food display.
The machine uses a recirculation system with air cooling and runs on standard 230 V / 50 Hz at just 0.260 kW, keeping running costs low. The stainless steel housing and flap stand up to busy kitchen environments, while four adjustable feet allow level installation on uneven floors. It operates in ambient temperatures from 10 °C up to 40 °C, making it practical for hot back-of-house spaces. For water hardness of 7° or above, Saro recommends fitting an upstream water softener to protect the system.
Straightforward button controls require no training, and the tub motor carries a 5-year guarantee — a meaningful assurance for high-volume venues that rely on consistent ice supply through service.
