The Saro BALDUR S 400 is a refrigerated saladette prep counter for professional kitchens, holding a consistent +2 °C to +8 °C across a compact 435 mm-wide footprint — the smallest model in the Saro Baldur series. It runs on a static cooling system with an air circulation fan and a three-side foam-injected evaporator, paired with a DIXELL digital controller and fully automatic defrost, keeping prep temperatures stable with minimal operator intervention.

Designed for tight pass areas, sandwich stations and small à la carte kitchens, the BALDUR S 400 features a telescoping polyethylene cutting board that slides open to give instant access to the storage compartment below, while the single solid door with reversible hinge adapts to any layout. The all-stainless-steel interior and exterior stand up to daily cleaning, and the unit draws just 0.23 kW using the low-GWP refrigerant R600a — practical for operators mindful of running costs and environmental compliance.

At 62 kg and wired for standard 230 V / 50 Hz supply, the BALDUR S 400 installs quickly in restaurants, hotel kitchens, catering prep areas and cafés where cold ingredient access at the workstation is essential but floor space is at a premium.
