Cubigel Condensing Unit CNLY12RAb4N with Run Capacitor, R290, 3/8 hp

The Cubigel CNLY12RAb4N is a complete R290 condensing unit: the compressor, air-cooled condenser, fan and electrics assembled on one base plate, ready to be piped to an evaporator. It is what a refrigeration engineer replaces when the cooling half of a commercial counter, cabinet or display case has failed, and it is one of the units Vitrum fits inside its own refrigerated furniture.

Cooling capacity is 841 W at 32 °C ambient and 673 W at 43 °C, measured to EN 13125 at a -10 °C evaporating temperature, from a 10.70 cm³ compressor drawing 411 W for a COP of 2.04. The unit measures 325 x 425 x 270 mm and weighs 24.50 kg, with 3/8 inch suction and 1/4 inch discharge connections. It is rated high and medium back pressure, meaning chilled rather than frozen applications.

This is a version 4 build: the basic unit for capillary-expansion systems, joined by brazing to the condenser tubes, with a Schrader valve added on the refrigerant charging port. It carries no service valves and no liquid receiver. The tropicalized fan-cooled condenser is rated for ambient temperatures up to 43 °C, and the unit meets the ecodesign requirements of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1095.

R290 (propane) has a global warming potential of 3 and contains no fluorine, so it sits outside the EU F-gas phase-down entirely. It is also flammable, safety class A3, which is why installation, charging and service belong to a qualified refrigeration technician.
