Description

The True TSSU-27-08 is a single solid-door saladette and sandwich prep counter designed for high-volume food preparation in restaurants, hotels, cafés and catering kitchens, holding product between 0.5 °C and 5 °C across a 184 L cabinet. Manufactured in the USA and rated for 230–240 V / 50 Hz operation, it ships with eight GN 1/6 polycarbonate pans ready to load, a full-length removable high-density polyethylene cutting board, and a patented foam-insulated stainless steel lid and hood — giving prep staff an organised, food-safe worktop at a standard 915 mm counter height.

True's patented forced-air guided airflow system, powered by a sealed self-lubricating evaporator fan motor with an epoxy-coated evaporator, maintains consistent temperature across the entire cabinet with no manual intervention. The R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant carries a GWP of just 0.02 and zero ODP, making the TSSU-27-08 a straightforward choice for operators working toward lower environmental impact. The condensing unit slides out from the rear of the cabinet for fast, unobstructed servicing, and the unit is ANSI/NSF-7 certified and cULus listed.

Built for durability in commercial kitchens, the cabinet features a stainless steel front, top and ends with a GalFan corrosion-resistant back, foamed-in-place high-density polyurethane insulation and a stainless steel interior floor with coved corners for easy cleaning. The field-reversible, self-closing door with tool-free removable magnetic gasket reduces maintenance downtime, while locking 127 mm stem castors keep the unit firmly positioned on the line.
