Description

The Hatco FTBX-S2 is a drop-in recessed frost top (cold slab) for high-volume food display and service, designed to keep product chilled directly on a frozen aluminized steel surface certified to NSF 7 standards. Built in Milwaukee, WI, the slim-line unit drops into a countertop cutout and connects to a remote condensing unit supplied by others, keeping mechanical equipment out of the service area entirely.

The slab accommodates two full-size 18" × 26" sheet pans side by side — practical for bakeries, buffet lines, seafood counters, hotel banquet stations, and deli service points. The electronic temperature control panel ships loose and can be mounted up to 1.22 m from the unit, giving installers flexibility in tight or custom counter builds. Auto-defrost cycles are programmable via the same controller, and a 1" NPT brass drain handles meltwater cleanly.

Running on 220–240 V / 50 Hz single-phase at 0.8 kW, the FTBX-S2 suits European and export installations where remote refrigeration is already specified — including restaurants, hotel buffets, catering commissaries, and specialty food retail.
