Description
The Hoshizaki FM-480 AKE-HCN-SB is a modular nugget ice maker for high-volume foodservice operations, producing up to 380 kg of nugget ice per 24 hours under optimal conditions. Running on a single-phase 220–240 V supply at just 1.1 kW, it delivers an efficient output that suits busy restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities and catering kitchens where soft, chewable nugget ice is in constant demand. The unit is air-cooled and uses R290 refrigerant, making it a practical choice where water-cooled installations are not feasible.
Built as a head unit, the FM-480 AKE-HCN-SB requires a separate ice bin or base and is designed to integrate into a modular ice station. The SUS304 stainless steel chassis is complemented by grease-free, water-lubricated carbon graphite bushings and a closed water circuit with an automated rinse cycle — both reducing manual maintenance effort. The electronic control display includes worktime-based maintenance monitoring, so service intervals are tracked automatically rather than left to guesswork.
