Description

The Josper HJX-50M is a countertop charcoal broiler oven for high-volume restaurant, hotel and steakhouse kitchens, capable of serving approximately 175 diners per day and delivering around 110 kg of grilled product per hour. Built from stainless steel and cast iron, this table-top unit (the "M" denotes Mesa — no base included) sits on a surface at the recommended height of 50–55 cm and reaches working temperatures between 250 °C and 560 °C, using only 100% wood charcoal.

A single charcoal load powers the HJX-50M for up to 9 hours, consuming 16–20 kg of charcoal per day, with a fire-up time of around 40 minutes. Temperature is dialled in manually via air vents below the charcoal bed and a butterfly exhaust vent at the top — a straightforward, reliable system that gives grill chefs direct control over heat intensity across the 760 × 750 mm grill surface. An external thermometer is included for at-a-glance monitoring.

The HJX-50M ships ready to cook, with a grill rack, Josper tongs, ash hatch and handle, ash pan and charcoal grates included. It carries CE, UL, NSF, GOST and TR certifications, making it a compliant choice for kitchens across Europe, North America and beyond. Ideal for à la carte restaurants, hotel kitchens and grill-concept venues that need serious charcoal output without a floor-standing unit.
