The Hoshizaki KM-40C HC is a self-contained, air-cooled crescent ice maker designed for bars, cafés, restaurants and small hotels that need a compact, reliable ice supply without a separate storage unit. Producing up to 43 kg of Crescent EDGE ice per 24 hours and holding up to 16 kg in its integrated bin, it delivers a steady output in a footprint of just 452 mm wide — and its front-vented design means it can be installed flush into a counter or cabinet without rear clearance.

Hoshizaki's CycleSaver® double-sided stainless steel evaporator reduces water and energy consumption per ice cycle, while the natural R290 refrigerant (HFC-free insulation) keeps the environmental footprint low. HoshiGuard Antimicrobial Agent protects internal surfaces, and the EverCheck™ Control Board provides continuous self-monitoring with an audible alarm so staff are alerted to any fault before service is disrupted. Maintenance is straightforward: a washable plastic mesh air filter and gravity drainage keep daily upkeep minimal.
